Setup IMAP using Apple Mail 7.x

To setup your Apple Mail 7.x (for OS X 10.9 - Mavericks) Desktop Client, please follow these instructions:

Open Mail
From the Mail menu, choose Preferences....
Click on the Accounts tab.
At the bottom, click the plus (+) button to add a new account.
Select Add Other Mail Account... and press the Continue button.
Enter your Full Name, Email Address and Password in their appropriate fields and press the Create button.
Select IMAP as the Account Type.
Enter mail.atlantisnet.com as the Mail Server.
Enter your Email Address in the User Name field.
Enter your Password.
Press the Next button.
Enter mail.atlantisnet.com as the SMTP Server.
Enter your Email Address in the User Name field.
Enter your Password in the Password field.
Press the Create button.
Select the account you just created in the account listing.
Click on the Advanced tab.
Change IMAP Port to 993.
Check the box next to Use SSL.
Select Password as the Authentication type.
Now we need to tell Mail how to send your e-mail.
The next few steps are very important. If you are unable to send email then please check that you have done everything in this section:
- Click on the Account Information tab.
- Select Edit SMTP Server List... from the Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP): drop down selection.
- Select the mail.atlantisnet.com server listed.
- Click on the Advanced tab.
- Select Use default ports (25, 465, 587).
- Check the box next to Use Secure Sockets Layer (SSL).
- Select Password as the Authentication type.
- Your User Name and Password should already be entered. If not, enter them.
- Click the OK button.
Close the Accounts window.
