Android Email Account Settings for ActiveSync

Here are our instructions for setting up your email account on your Android device.  These instructions were created using a Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0.  Because of all the numerous versions of the Android operating system and the numerous manufactures, these instruction may need to be altered to your needs.  However, these instruction should put you in the right direction. Note, your email mailbox must be properly setup on our servers before you can use Exchange ActiveSync. ActiveSync is an ADD-ON for AtlantisNet customers as we must pay annual licensing fees to Microsoft.
  1. Go to "Settings".
  2. Click on "Add Account".
  3. Select "Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync".
  4. Enter your E-mail Address in the email field. (ex:
  5. Enter your E-mail Password in the password field.
  6. Click on the "Next" button.
  7. Click on the "Edit details" button.
  8. Enter your E-mail Address in the "Domain\username" field. (ex:
  9. Your password should already be entered in the "Password" field.  If not, enter your E-mail Password in the password field.
  10. Enter "" in the "Exchange Server" field.
  11. Check the box for "Use secure connection (SSL)".
  12. Do not check the box for "Use client certificate".
  13. Click on the "Next" button.
  14. Click on the "OK" button to activate the application.
  15. Click on the "OK" button to authorize the mail server to control your device.
  16. Select your options.
  17. Click on the "Next" button.
  18. Click on the "Activate" button.
  19. Give the account a name.  We recommend you just enter your email address.
  20. Click on the "Done" button.
