Setup IMAP using Microsoft Outlook 2010

To setup your Outlook 2010 Desktop Client, please follow these instructions:
  • Open Microsoft Outlook 2010
  • From the File menu, choose Add Account.
  • At the bottom, select Manually configure server settings or additional server types.
  • Click the Next button.
  • Select Internet E-mail.
  • Click the Next button.
  • Enter Your Name.
  • In the E-mail Address field, type your full email address (IE: username@yourdomain.com).
  • Select IMAP as your account type.
  • In the Incoming mail server field, type: mail.atlantisnet.com
  • In the Outgoing mail server (SMTP) field, type: mail.atlantisnet.com
  • In the User Name field, type your full email address (IE: username@yourdomain.com).
  • In the Password field, type your e-mail account password.
  • Do not click the checkbox titled Require logon using Secure Password Authentication (SPA).
  • Now we need to tell Outlook how to send your e-mail.
  • The next four steps are very important.  If you are unable to send email then please check that you have done everything in this section:
    • Click the More Settings button.
    • Click on the Outgoing Server tab.
    • Check the box next to: My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication.
    • Select: Use same settings as my incoming server.
  • Click on the Advanced tab.
  • For the Outgoing Server, click on This Server Requires an Encrypted Connection (SSL)
  • For Outgoing server (SMTP) enter port # 587
  • For the Incoming Server, click on This Server Requires an Encrypted Connection (SSL)
  • For the Incoming Server (IMAP), enter port # 993
  • Click the OK button.
  • Click the Next button.
  • Click the Finish button
