iOS (iPhone, iPad) Email Account Settings for ActiveSync

This article applies to recent versions of Apple iOS. View articles for Apple iOS 11.x and earlier.
 
Here are our instructions for setting up your email account on your Apple iOS device. These instructions apply to iOS 12.x. Note, your email mailbox must be properly setup on our servers before you can use Exchange ActiveSync. ActiveSync is an ADD-ON for AtlantisNet customers as we must pay annual licensing fees to Microsoft.
 
  1. Go to "Settings".
  2. Select "Passwords & Accounts".
  3. Select "Add Account".
  4. Select "Exchange".
  5. Enter your E-mail Address in the "Email" field. (ex: john@company.com)
  6. Enter any kind of description you want in the "Description" field. (most people will simply enter their e-mail address or use something like "Work" or "Personal" or "Company Name").
  7. Press the "Next" button.
  8. You will now receive an alert saying "Sign in to your "company.com" Exchange account using Microsoft?". Select Configure Manually.
  9. Enter your E-mail Password in the "Password" field.
  10. Press the "Next" button.
  11. Your "Email" and "Password" should already be filled out.
  12. Enter "mail.atlantisnet.com" in the "Server" field.
  13. Leave the "Domain" field blank.
  14. Enter your E-mail Address in the "Username" field. (ex: john@company.com)
  15. Press the "Next" button.
  16. Your account will now be verified. If you receive a message stating your account could not be verified then press the "OK" button and verify you entered everything correctly. Once you fix the issue press the "Next" button.
  17. At the very least, you must enable "Mail" for synchronization.
  18. Press the "Save" button.
  19. Your account has now been added and you can access your email using the iOS Mail app.
